Words I Like

  • "Show me your garden and I shall tell you what you are." Alfred Austin
  • "My whole life has been spent waiting for an epiphany, a manifestation of God's presence, the kind of transcendent magical experience that lets you see your place in the big picture. And that is what I had with my first compost heap." Bette Midler

that is just lovely! It's the kind of look I just don't achieve, though I try. Well done!

Gorgeous photo. Your garden seems to be quite photogenic! Love that Achillea millefolium, looks great between the deep purple and the orangey tones too. :)

Beautiful, and so very evocative of a tru summer cottage garden! Budleja can get a bit teenager-ish sometimes, so I find a (very, very) good haircut after flowering makes it flower, and flower, all summer long.

I'm loving your garden photography. Would you consider sharing some of your tips for taking such great photos? I love how you've often got the subject in such sharp focus, but the background blurred. I assume you're using an SLR. Don't think my point-and-shoot camera would do that kind of picture. Any tips greatly appreciated.

Lovely! Buddlejas are not easy to overwinter here in Stockholm, Sweden. But I love them.

Lovely colours for this type of garden

Serious work! Deserves respect!
