Nemesis: the reprise

I did a spot of community service pruning today. This time I steered clear of retirement villages and snaffled the odd branch as we walked in the reserve. Man, this Autumn thing has me just about jumping out of my skin.
For my international visitors (all 7 of you), Sydney is seriously lacking in the seasonal department. There's just Summer, Summer and the odd bit of Spring thrown in to make you break out the cardi for a few weeks.

Back to the pruning..I did hesitate momentarily, my secateurs poised tantalisingly close to some virginal tree-flesh. Is that my old friend nemesis there hovering behind the branch?
No sir, snip, snip, rustle, crash. Karmically speaking, I'm in the clear thought I lugging Autumn home.
Fast forward a few hours and I sit feverishly at my keyboard with a 39+ temperature nursing the gaping wound that was once my throat. I'm off to bed, hoping to be released on a good behaviour bond shortly.
PS I'm thinking of opening an online shop on account of the fact that I'm just about to leap back on the mortgage treadmill AND we're going to France/Tokyo in August...god forbid I am reduced to 'leche vitrine' - I've never been big on window licking/shopping..
I need some dollars so I thought I might have a rustle through the cupboard and see what I find...Just kidding, I'm thinking of putting together a comprehensive collection hand tailored in polar fleece - down to the smalls. I'm telling you, I think I've hit on something there, it'll go off like a bomb here in Canberra under our current weather conditions. After taking Canberra by storm I'll move on to Tokyo, Paris, London..Cutting edge, that's me, or maybe that's the fever talking.
Seriously now, I'm thinking dolls, the odd frock, bits and bobs, some Canberran op-shop excellence. Are you in?
Oh yes please! I'm sure you'll find some treasures that I'll just have to buy from you.
Did you receive the package that I posted from the Gold Coast?

When I saw you live in Sydney I just had to comment - last night I had my first Tim Tam Slam - it was fabulous! And then today I find your blog and it's filled with wonderful things to see! I must be having a lucky streak! Nan

Why haven't I thought of this?? Need money - make dolls! No, seriously, your spirit of enterprise is inspiring. Can't make dolls though, think, think, think...
I've linked to your spot because it's so colorful and inspiring, hope that's OK?
