I think at some stage someone is going to have to surgically remove this camera from my hand. It's been an intense and hectic love affair so far but the flame may be burning a little too bright.
And yes, those are the long-suffering school shoes although you could be forgiven for thinking they are Chaplin's footwear from The Kid*.
* if you haven't seen this film go instantly to the video shop and hire it. One of my most favourite films and another excellent antidote to the Mean Reds. And while you're there, Modern Times, another Chaplin classic will have you rolling in the aisles.

I never really "got" Charlie Chaplin until I saw Modern Times.
