I turned 38 yesterday, the girls gave me a set of family hearts that they carved in their makeshift quarry in the backyard. And it doesn't get any better than that in this big, bad world of ours.
One of my oldest friends turned up out of the blue and we went to the Yiwarra Kuju Canning Stock Route exhibition and were blown away.
We drank a cold beer at Tilley's and spent some time shooting the breeze. I think I'm going to like 38, the older I get the better I feel in this skin of mine. x
PS Whatever you do, try and get to the Yiwarra Kuju exhibition, it's one of the best art experiences I have had in a number of years. The stories and the artworks are moving beyond words.

Happy happy birthday Nan!
The hearts are sensational...you make sure you tell the smalls I said so.

Happy Birthday to you!!! Being in your 30's is the best time of your life so enjoy it. I loved being in my 30's & your right you feel more comfortable. By the way I own a whippet too. She is nearly 15 years old. Brilliant dog but still at the ripe old age she is she still is getting into mischief. Love reading your blogs.

Thirty eight. It only gets better, in my experience (I'm 45)Those hearts are very special.
You're fortunate to score Kathie Winkle plates. They're like hen's teeth in Australia. Well, from op-shops they are.
Kathie Winkle has lots of cool designs.
Cheers
