Come and spend a year in my French Australian garden and watch the flowers grow with me. This is my first real garden and my first adventure as a gardener. Acacia et Coquelicot is a space where I would like to share stories, recipes and pictures of my garden and any others that take my fancy.
I don't pretend to have any horticultural expertise, a lot of what I do is flying by the seat of my pants. You are, however, most welcome to come along for the ride.
Whoa. That's ambitious. Well done you. I can't wait. I love a good project and the garden is always a doozy of a project. Now, what can I send? Tomato seeds? Coriander? Gardening books? I keep hinting I'd like gardening books for my birthday. One of those books that tell you what to do when. Like gardening columns - without the adverts to use x-product now.

You will love gardening and making things grow. There are so many resources for you out there. Join a garden club in your area if you can - you will love the networking and the plant exchanges. Planting from seed is the most fun of all especially for the children. It gives you so many opportunities to teach them about the world.
I think there is nothing finer than walking out to your garden in the early morning and hugging all the flowers. Best wishes and the Happiest of New Years!

Got the first issue today of my Christmas gift subscription to Warm Earth Organic Gardening, published in Childers, Qld - it's very daggy but really helpful.
If you see it around, grab a copy, I reckon you'd like it.
Looking forward to seeing your garden grow.
additional random thought.
I have a RED acacia!

I have just surfed in, and just wanted to tell you that I really liked your poem (on the older blog) about the cake.
Good luck with your blog and your garden,
Janey
