In the spirit of honesty and transparency I need to point out that these are not my roses. Rather they have been filched from my darling 92 year old neighbour who tolerates nay encourages my thieving ways. I should also forwarn you that there will probably be any number of photographs of roses in upcoming posts as mine are just about to hit their stride. To date I have planted 18 different varieties - all climbers to dress the walls of my garden, the bulk of these are heavily budded and I am breathless with anticipation to see if their colours are true. I hope you can indulge me as I work my way through this particular idiosyncrasy.
PS a very perky combination of geum with pink valerian that has grown to be an absolute behemoth. That sheep poo has been a cracker! xx
I bet those roses smell heavenly. Can't wait to see your rosed up garden unfold. Share all the photos you want. I'll be sitting here patiently.

I'm glad it's spring somewhere in the world. Lovely photos.

Oh, I so love that blue and white vase, as the rest of your blog. Thank you for sharing.
