Despite ushering you in with a whimper instead of a bang, I'd nevertheless like to welcome you with open arms.
We don't know each other well yet but I feel that we are to be kindred spirits. Don't get me wrong, I thought very highly of your predecessor, it's just that you seem to be so full of promise. What with progressive presidents-elect and children on the cusp of potty training, you've got some serious goodness in store.
On a personal note, I'd like to put in a mention for a toddler who still needs to come to grips with the idea of underpants on bottoms as opposed to being strapped around her forehead. But I'm sure you'll work it out as you go along.
As a token of my esteem, I'd like to dedicate this photo of my clean laundry to you as you embark on all that is to come.
I remain yours, respectfully,
Nanette
Perfect symbolism! And GL with the potty training.
=)

I'm very taken with the idea of your child's headgear . You can console yourself with the thought that very few teenagers aren't potty-trained ....nor , usually , do they wear their knickers on their heads !

oh look at that lovely laundry photo.
we need to embark on potty training too. two winters in a row isn't going to make life easy – but thank heavens for warm winters....
