Bring on the sunshine and 30 + temps. WHAT'S WITH THIS RAIN AND FROST AND BLOODY COLD, SPRING?? I have put away all winter clothes and I'll be damned if I drag them out of their hiding places again this year. It's short sleeves all the way baby even if the limbs are frostbitten.
We have a newly minted five year old in the household so I'm home for the day to cook some of her favourite things to eat. My sister and niece came and hung out with us on the weekend - Al has developed a fetish for watching Morman Mother youtube videos in which said Morman Moms style their children's hair. Who knows how she found them but my children are now brandishing fishtail braids and other exotic headwear in a household known only for lopsided piggy tails. Thanks be to the Mormans.
The French bought me a couple of Bruce Springsteen and David Bowie records that have spent some solid time on the turntable.
In other news have just discovered that the trip to Melbourne is confirmed from 16 - 23rd October for both work and play - Huzzah! Can't stay at my favourite little hotel so I'd love to know if you have a good inner city hotel that you would recommend. Hope the sun is shining down on you and you're having a gentle start to your week. xxx
Did I tell you I stayed there on your recommendation? In May and it was as good or better than you said. love it.I will absolutely return. Also nearby to it is a tapas bar called Anada.: http://anada.com.au/ beautiful! seriously beautiful!!!
Have a lovely time.
Your photos always have such good light.

What's the diff between a fishtail hairdo and a bog standard plait? My girl-kids can't tell me, even though they are besotted with the mermaid version. Shall consult the Mormons and see what they have to say for themselves...

PS. I know nothing useful about Melbourne because I live here and have been known to consult your guide. Ask me about Holland or London and I might have something of rivoting interest to recommend...Helpful? Non?

Can recommend Kanteen cafe for some breakfast, coffee or simply Melbournian people watching. http://www.kanteen.net/map.html
I loved the decor and the atmosphere - well worth it if you're in South Yarra. Lovely way to start the morning or break up the day. Melbourne Supper Club is always good for a drink before or after other engagements. Enjoy!
